I have a new book out! Read more about it here.
Multifaceted media researcher
Hence, my path as a media researcher and academic has been influenced by those other, sometimes a bit quirky, assignments and passions that I’ve had: subtitler, record collector, DJ, music producer, author of literary fiction.
I am primarily a researcher and lecturer within media & communications. I was born in 1978 and grew up in Stockholm, Sweden. After my long stay in London between 2002 and 2008 I now live in Sweden again. I went to London in 2002 for an MA in Global Media & Transnational Communications. Then I stayed for a while, and enrolled on the PhD programme at Goldsmiths, University of London. While pursuing my PhD I worked as a seminar tutor and a freelancer.
I now live in Sweden again, working as a researcher under the Flexit programme, funded by Riksbankens jubileumsfond and the advertising agency Forsman & Bodenfors. Previously, I’ve worked as a University seminar leader and lecturer, first in London and more recently in Sweden, at Mälardalens högskola and Södertörns högskola. I have also worked on various publications, both as a writer and an editor.
The subject of my PhD thesis is one that has been hotly debated in the last years: file sharing. More precisely, it explores how Swedish file-sharers motivate their actions and opinions. Read more about it in the academic section.
During my years in London and Stockholm, I have been dabbling in a lot of areas and lines of work. Besides being a media researcher and sociologist, I have worked as a freelancer within graphic design, music production, writing, translation, and editing and managing printed publications.
This homepage is an attempt to summarize my various projects in a comprehensive way. You will find general information, articles and academic texts, alongside other bits and pieces that might be of interest.
